Beneath the light of the moon, we gather on the Dorset coast for a ritual of release and renewal. The wood-fired beach sauna at Studland is our sanctuary, where heat, sea, and sisterhood create the perfect alchemy for a monthly reset.
Each session is held in harmony with the full or new moon, amplifying the energy of reflection, release, and new beginnings. These lunar touchpoints help you step into rhythm with nature’s cycles, deepening the connection between body, spirit, and sea.

There is something timeless about gathering in the warmth of the sauna with like minded women, then stepping into the wild embrace of the sea. Fire and water, stillness and the energy of the moon together create a powerful midweek reset for body, mind and spirit.

Lighting and safety
Some sessions run in low light, especially around the new moon. Please bring a torch or headlamp and take care on sandy and uneven paths.

Limited free parking is available along Ferry Road. Please allow extra time to walk down to the beach.
Gathered in warmth, renewed by the waves
Health and safety
Sauna use and cold water immersion carry inherent risks. Sauna use is not recommended if you are pregnant or if you have high blood pressure, heart conditions or other health concerns. Please consult your GP if in doubt.
By booking you confirm that you are in good health, that you take full responsibility for your participation and that you will follow the house rules of Studland Sauna Hut. Staff reserve the right to refuse entry or end a session if safety guidance is not followed.
Key house rules
- No alcohol, smoking or vaping
- No nudity
- No glassware in or around the sauna
- No outdoor or wet shoes inside the sauna
- Sit on a towel on the benches
- Maximum twenty minutes in the sauna at a time
- Enter and exit one at a time and keep doorways clear
- Avoid contact with the stove and hot surfaces
- Jewellery, glasses and contact lenses may be affected by heat

You use the facilities at your own risk. Wild Ways and Lazy Days, Studland Sauna Hut and Studland Watersports accept no liability for any injury, illness, accident or loss arising from participation.

Frequently asked questions
Do I have to go in the sea
No. The dip is optional. Many women enjoy the heat and rest of the sauna only.
Can I come alone
Yes, many do. This is a warm, welcoming space and you will be well looked after.
What if the weather is bad
Sessions run in most conditions. If safety is affected we will contact you with updates.
